The GLS German Language School organizes several activities in Berlin every week, which take place after the German course and where you can explore Berlin together with other course participants.

Wie viele Vokale gibt es eigentlich? Sind lange Vokale wirklich länger? Ist der Umlaut nur Dekoration? Diese und andere Fragen klären wir in diesem Seminar.
How many vowels are there, actually? Are long vowels really longer? Is the umlaut only a decoration? These and other questions will be answered in this seminar.

Wir machen eine Tour entlang des ehemaligen Verlaufs der Mauer in der Bernauer Straße. Hier können wir Originalreste der Berliner Mauer sehen und mehr zu ihrer Geschichte erfahren.
We take a tour along the former course of the Wall in Bernauer Straße. Here we can see original remains of the Berlin Wall and learn more about its history.

At the bowling center at Alexanderplatz you can compete against other GLS participants to your heart's content for two hours. (shoes included)
We will visit the "site of German division" and show how the customs and passort controls at the "Palace of Tears" and the surveillance at the border crossing worked.

Stralsund & Ozeaneum

Heute geht es an die deutsche Ostseeküste und ins Ozeaneum: Ziel ist Stralsund, eine fast 800 Jahre alte Hansestadt, deren Altstadt zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehört.
Today we are going to the German Baltic Sea coast and to the Ozeaneum: the destination is Stralsund, an almost 800-year-old Hanseatic city whose old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
