Hello! I'm a spanish girl anf I'll be in Berlin from the 12th august until the 25th. I'm going to stay at the Brandenburg shared flats. Anyone is staying there for that period of time?

I arrive in Berlin at 19:35, so I'm not pretty sure where I will have to catch the keys. Is anyone arriving at that hour or so? How are you going to deal with the keys?

I also have to go from the airport to the flats on my own. Does anyone know how to get to the flats or to the restaurant from the airport to catch the keys? I aarive in the Schonefeld airport.

Lorena, I'll be in one of the Brandenburg flats the first week of your stay there.

According to the information I got, this is the way you get to the apartments this way:

1. Take S-Bahn S6 till Friedrichstraße

2. From Friedrichstraße take U-Bahn U6 till Französische Str. You can walk to Behrenstraße, where the flats are.

The restaurant in which you will pick up the keys seems to be right next to the apartment complex.

By the time you arrive I will have been there for a week, so we can get together and I'll tell you what else you need to know.

ETA: Does anyone want to switch over to German?

I started paying for it. I guess it depends on how you decide to do it, at once or in payments.

As for your stay, it's probably in a German family or in a shared flat with other GLS students. Can you PM me what they sent you about this? It'll probably be easier for me to figure it out.

I'm also registered for an apartment with roommates, but not in the Brandenburg shared flats. I was told that we only get the specific address about ten days before arriving.

By the way, I'll be in Berlin from august 18 until November 10.

Lorena, I hope you can find your way from the airport to the flat... anyway the public transport system is really efficient and "easy to use" in Berlin!

hi everybody. I'm going to stay in Berlin from 12th August till 2nd September. I have to do the level test on Monday, so I guess I will see you all at school. I'm staing in a private home with germans, GLS has just given me the adress and contacts. I will arrive at 5pm to Berlin Tegel airport. I've been told that there are buses every 15-20 minutes to get to the center from there..I hope I don't get lost :roll:
