Weekend excursions with GLS in October: we go on a short hiking tour in the Berlin countryside, visit the oldest film studio in the world, have breakfast together at the great Aunits Café, cheer on the Berlin Eisbären at the hockey tournament and get goosebumps during a guided tour of the former Stasi prison in Hohenschönhausen.

Nur eine Stunde von Berlin entfernt betritt man im Erptal eine völlig andere Welt. Hier wandern wir auf einem schmalen Pfad ca. 11 km durch feuchte Wiesen und dunklen Wald an der Grenze zwischen Berlin und Brandenburg. Die Landschaft hier ist besonders geschützt und mit etwas Glück entdecken wir vielleicht sogar einen Eisvogel oder einen Biber.
Only an hour away from Berlin, you enter a completely different world in the Erptal valley. Here we hike on a narrow path for about 11 km through wet meadows and dark forest on the border between Berlin and Brandenburg. The landscape here is particularly protected and with a bit of luck we might even spot a kingfisher or a beaver.

Wir besichtigen das berüchtigte Gefängnis des DDR-Inlandsgeheimdienstes, der Stasi. Hier bekommen wir eine Führung von einem Historiker und erfahren mehr über die Geschichte der ehemaligen Häftlinge.
We visit the infamous prison of the GDR's domestic intelligence service, the Stasi. Here we get a guided tour by a historian and learn more about the history of the former prisoners.
