City Walk: Queere Berliner Geschichte zu Fuß erkunden

Berlin gilt als die „Stadt der Freiheit“, die jenen einen Platz gibt, die vermeintlich „anders“ sind. Untrennbar damit verbunden ist auch die Geschichte Berlins als Heimatort queerer Freiheitsbewegungen, Nachtclubs und Freiräume. Zu Fuß erkunden wir Orte queerer Berliner Stadtgeschichte und erfahren mehr darüber, wieso Berlin zu einem Zentrum der ersten Homosexuellenbewegung vor mehr als 100 Jahren wurde.
Berlin is considered the "city of freedom" that gives a place to those who are supposedly "different". Inextricably linked to this is Berlin's history as the home of queer freedom movements, nightclubs and free spaces. On foot we will explore places of queer Berlin history and learn more about why Berlin became a center of the first homosexual movement more than 100 years ago.

Heute das touristische Zentrum Berlins, damals Haupstadt der DDR. Wir zeigen euch die angesagten Viertel im ehemaligen Ost-Teil der Stadt: Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin Mitte und Friedrichshain und werfen einen Blick zurück auf das Leben und die Architektur der ehemaligen Hauptstadt der DDR, Ost-Berlin. Dabei wollen wir auch die bewegte Geschichte der Stadt während der letzten 100 Jahre nicht aussen vor lassen. Damals so beliebt wie heute, lebten vor 100 Jahren genau so viele Menschen wie heute in der Stadt. Das berühmte Berliner Kiez- und Partyleben lernen wir auf dieser Tour genauso kennen, wie Berliner Streetart. Dazu gibt es Top Highlights wie die East Side Gallery und ihr bekommt einen interessanten Einblick in das Leben der damaligen DDR.

Today the tourist center of Berlin, then the capital of the GDR. We show you the trendy neighborhoods in the former eastern part of the city: Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin Mitte and Friedrichshain and take a look back at the life and architecture of the former capital of the GDR, East Berlin. At the same time, we do not want to leave out the eventful history of the city during the last 100 years. As popular then as it is now, 100 years ago there were just as many people living in the city as there are today. The famous Berlin neighborhood and party life we get to know on this tour as well as Berlin street art. In addition, there are top highlights like the East Side Gallery and you get an interesting insight into the life of the former GDR.
