The GLS Campus in Berlin

Hi, my name is Carlotta and I`m from Berlin. I am doing an internship at the GLS German Language School in Berlin and would like to show you how the school campus looks like.

ịHola! Me llamo Carlotta y vivo en Berlín. Yo hago una práctica en la GLS escuela de alemán y me gustaría que le muestre cómo el Campus de la escuela parece.

This is the entrance. It is located in Berlin ,, Prenzlauer Berg" on one of the hippest streets (the Kastananienalle). From the outside the school looks very small, but when you go inside you can see how big its campus is. The Campus is within easy reach, because there is a tram station in front of the door.

El sitio donde se encuentran las instalaciones de GLS, esta situado en la direccíon: Kastanienallee 82, 10435 en Berlín. Este se puede encontrar facilmente en frente del centro de idiomas. desde afuera este puede parecer muy pequeño, pero en el momento que pasas la reception puedes apreciar cuan grandes son las instalaciones.

When you go inside, there is a reception. Here you get all information needed for your first day at school.

En el momento que entras a las instalaciones, las primeras personas con las que te vas a topar, son los recepcionistas, que estarán dispuestos a ayudarte en lo que necesiteas con una enorme y gratificante sonrisa en sus costros.

This is the GLS bookstore, you can get dictionaries and other german literature here. The smiling guy on the pic is Rafael - he is the GLS activity organizer. you can take part in after class activities every day after school, just ask Rafael, he is happy to assist you.

Más adelante se encuenta una pequeña biblioteca, donde los estudiantes pueden comprar todos los sobros que nesecita y también con una pequeña sección de libros de todos las clases.

This is one of the class - and seminar rooms. Most of the rooms have a smartboard and a view to Kastanienallee.

En la piso arriba de la recepcióm, están los salónes. Hay salónes normales pra clase y unos pocos que son utilizados para seminaros.

Next to the reception is the GLS restaurant. Its a regular restaurant open to public offering modern german food. Students get a 10% discount.

Al lado de la reception, en la casa 1, se encuentra el  restaurant. Este cuenta con deliciosos platillos, como también un agradable y acejedor ambiente.

Downstairs you will find the cafeteria. Students have breakfast here or lunch. 

Al lado del restaurant bajando las escaleras se encuentra una cafeteria, también con delisiosa comida, donde los estudiantes pueden almarzar o ya sea desayunar allí.

Behind the house one is the hous two. Here is the teacher`s room and further class - and seminar rooms.

Above you can see house three. There is a big assembly hall and the offices. On the ground floor there is a big assembly hall, on the second floor you find the german language office. Come here if you need assistance with your courses etc.

En esta foto se encuentra la casa 3. Está cuenta con un gran auditorio y más adelnate las oficinas.

The GLS Campus is not only a school. It is also a hotel.Above you can see hotel building number four with 30 maisonette apartments with kitchenette.

En la casa 4 se encuentran los curators del Hotel y esta cuenta con un asensor.

Building number 5 is another hotel bulding. The rooms look like as a small apartment. There is a samll kitchen, a dinner table, a desk, a television a wardrobe and a bathroom with a shower or a bathtub.

En la casa 5 tmabién hay cuenta con cuartos de Hotel. Esto cuentan con: una cosina equipada con todos los accesoríos necesarios, camas, baño con ducha y bañera y amario.
